LTTE’s sea tiger wing leader Soosai’s bullet ridden body has been found by troops this evening. According to the defence sources, army commandos engaged in search and clear operations in the marshy land in Karayamullavaikkal have made this finding.

The second in command of the Sea Tigers and Soosai’s deputy - Cheliyan has just been killed in action.

The Armed Forces recovered two under-water scooters, 20 diving kits and a number of uniforms and Oxygen tanks and some explosives at an LTTE hideout in Ampalavanpokkanai of Puthukudiurrippu West yesterday evening.
According to Army sources, the entire area of Puthukudiurrippu West have been liberated.

Sri Lanka Air Force Kfir and F-7 fighter jets yesterday (Feb 6) destroyed a hideout of senior LTTE leader Soosai located 1 Km northeast of Puthukudduyiruppu junction.
