Sri Lanka Armr today promoted three senior battle field commanders namely, Brigadier Prasana De Silva [ then Commander of 53 Division ], Brigadier Shavendra Silva [then Commander of 58 Division] and Brigadier Chagi Gallage  to the ranks of Major General.
