Bags containing large sums of money were also recovered near the bodies of Charles Anthony, son of LTTE leader Prabhakaran and other leaders, sources said.
The cash is believed to be what was sent to the LTTE by the Tamil diaspora and what was collected as taxes from ordinary civilians.
